ABOUT ME

Music has been an important part of my life ever since I was a small boy. I don't remember when I first started playing guitar. It seems like I always have. Chet Atkins was my first guitar hero. No one will ever take Chet's place. I also listened to Duane Eddy and The Ventures a lot as a teenager.

Gospel music has always been my passion. There again, I don't remember when I first sang and played guitar in church. It just seems like I always have. I believe, like Doyle Dykes, that music is a gift from God; so whenever I play and sing, it is for Him. I am continually trying to increase my boundaries musically; but Gospel music is my first love.

I owe a lot to Dwayne Friend for re-kindling the fire within me a few short years back when we finally met. He is an amazing person, known as Mr. Gospel Guitar, and he will always be one of the very best friends I have ever had.

My family will always be the most important part of my life. I have always enjoyed the support of my family, from my Grandparents to my parents, to my wife and her parents, our children and now my Grandbabies are a thrill and inspiration that I can't describe. There is nothing like playing and singing around the house with my grandbabies singing and playing along with me.
